Bromkamp was awarded to install a new electric arc furnace in the factory in Norway. Due to environmental reasons a cupola furnace, fired with coke, was replaced.
The order included the mechanical and electrical equipment, consisting of delivery, engineering, installation and commissioning. Ancillary equipment such as the furnace transformer, high-current system, electrode lines, cooling water distribution, hydraulics and all piping were also included in the scope of supply.
A particular challenge was to complete all the work within the specified revamping time, taking into account all other plant modules.
Production start took place at 18.12.2020.
Thenceforth all expectations regarding capacity, product quality and emission values have been more than fulfilled.
