A comprehensive retrofit of gas-heated pusher furnace no. 2 at Badische Stahahlwerke in Kehl was performed by Bromkamp within winter standstill 2016/2017 sucessfully and on time. Scope was revamping of basic automation system, replacement of a process control system and diverse mechanical items like all control flaps ( gas and air ) as well as parts of the supporting tube systems. Badische Stahlwerke could supply their milling plant with regular heated slabs on schedule. Part of this retrofit was also a contractual agreed rate of energy saving. The corresponding evaluation will take place shortly.
