Bromkamp was awarded to supply the electrode columns incl. high current system for their factory in Switzerland. For environmental reasons, the direct reduction furnace operated with the Bromkamp electrode system replaces two existing cupola furnaces which are fired with coke.
The order included the mechanical and electrical equipment, consisting of engineering, delivery, installation as well as commissioning. In addition, the contract also included the complete mechanical assembly of the furnace including ancillary equipment.
The complete delivery, installation and cold commissioning of entire scope was successfully completed on schedule in July 2023.
The start of production is planned for April 2024.
